- 4 whitefish fillets, skin on (about 6 oz each)

- 2 lemons, halved
- 4 Tbsp olive oil, divided
- 1 tsp honey
- 1 Tbsp chopped chives
- Kosher salt and black pepper
Cedar-Plank Grilled Whitefish with Charred Lemon Vinaigrette
Ingredients
Method
- Heat a grill to medium. Grill the lemon halves cut-side down directly on the grates 3–4 minutes until deeply charred.
- Brush the fillets with 1 Tbsp oil, season, and arrange skin-side down on the soaked plank. Grill with the lid closed 12–15 minutes, until the fish flakes.
- Squeeze the charred lemons into a bowl; whisk in 3 Tbsp oil, honey, and chives.
- Spoon the warm vinaigrette over the fish.
Chef's tip
Whitefish loves smoke — the cedar plank echoes its smokehouse heritage, and nothing falls through the grates.
